CQC Inspection

CQC Zanta InspectionCQC Inspector’s Description of our service – CQC carried out this inspection under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. This inspection was planned to check whether Zanta Healthcare Ltd is meeting the legal requirements and regulations associated with the Health and Social Care Act 2008, to look at the overall quality of the service, and to provide a rating for the service under the Care Act 2014.

This inspection took place on 11 July 2016 and was announced. The inspection was carried out by one inspector. Zanta Healthcare Ltd had a short amount of notice that an inspection would take place. This was because CQC needed to ensure that the registered manager/ provider would be available to answer any questions CQC had or provide information that we needed.

CQC asked Zanta Healthcare Ltd to complete a Provider Information Return (PIR). This is a form that asksZanta Healthcare Ltd to give some key information about the service, what the service does well and improvements they plan to make. Providers are required by law to notify us about events and incidents that occur; CQC refer to these as notifications. CQC asked the local authority their views on the service provided. CQC used the information they had gathered to plan what areas they were going to focus on during our inspection. Providers are required by law to notify us about events and incidents that occur; CQC refer to these as ‘notifications’. Although CQC tried numerous times they were not able to speak with any people who used the service. They spoke with two relatives, two staff members and the registered manager. CQC looked at two people’s care records and medicine records, three staff member’s recruitment, supervision records and looked at staff training records. CQC looked at the systems in place to monitor the quality and management of the service and Zanta Healthcare Ltd feedback forms that had recently been completed by people who used the service and their relatives.
